Welcome to DevOpsLite.com personal blog!
And here are some introductions about me Daniel Pham – the author of this DevOps Lite blog 🙂

Daniel Pham – my Vietnamese name is Phạm Trung Dũng
I am Vietnamese. I am living in Da Nang city, Vietnam – my hometown.
I am a DevOps/DevSecOps engineer and currently I am working remotely (WFH).
I really enjoy working remotely because I have more time to work, to take care of my family.
Let’s go through a little bit of information about me 😉
Graduated from Duy Tan University in 2014
I majored in “Computer Network Engineering” at Duy Tan University in 2010 – 2014.
My time as a student was also very interesting and memorable. My class that year had only 20 people (most people chose programming over networking) and all were boys (yes, not a single girl).
Up to now, I’ve been out of school for quite a while now, I don’t know where my college diploma is, so I’ll go look for it (it’s probably still in the closet 😛 )
In 2014, I only had a phone that was quite outdated compared to now, so the camera wasn’t very good. 😂

My Work
In addition, I also worked part-time for a number of companies over the years. You can take a closer look at the Linkedin link I put above.
08/2025 - present
Principal DevOps Engineer Full-time (remote)
I had the chance to work on two major international projects: leading a DevOps team for a US insurance company, and contributing as a core member to a UAE fintech platform. Across both, I focused on building secure cloud architecture, automating CI/CD pipelines, and training the team.
03/2023 - 10/2025
Senior DevSecOps Engineer Full-time (remote)
I work directly for a client in Singapore, a fintech company. My job is to set up automated infrastructure and make sure everything is secure.
04/2023 - 05/2024
DevOps Engineer Independent Contractor (remote)
I was very lucky to join a company that specializes in blockchain products. The company offers a variety of products such as wallets with over 40 million accounts, games, and the Verse ecosystem. After more than 1 year working at Bitcoin.com, the company planned to move to the US, and I said goodbye to my journey at the company while working remotely.
07/2022 - 12/2023
Senior DevOps Engineer Independent Contractor (remote)
After the Covid epidemic, I found myself enjoying working remotely (WFH) more and joining Prophet Exchange (independent contractor contract) was truly a blessing for me at the time. Being involved in building and operating a sports betting platform in the US is quite interesting. But unfortunately, the US economy is suffering many difficulties due to the recession, forcing me and many colleagues to leave the company.
04/2021 - 06/2022
Senior DevOps Engineer Full-time (on-site)
My journey at the company was shaped by two key global projects, partnering with a US surety provider and an Australian ISP. Bridging the gap between teams and systems across Europe, the US, and Australia came with a lot of challenges, but the growth and experience I walked away with were absolutely worth it.
12/2021 - 02/2022
DevOps Engineer Part-time (remote)
I worked part-time for this Korean company for just a few months. It was a bad experience in my career but also a valuable lesson. The company went bankrupt and they didn’t pay me a single penny. I could say I worked for them for free for a few months, and since then, I’ve been afraid to hear about Korean companies (me personally).
04/2021 - 11/2021
VSEC – Vietnam Network Security JSC
DevOps Engineer Part-time (remote)
I was involved in the development and troubleshooting of the VADAR product. I worked with my brother who I have known for many years Eric (Vu Van Than) and we were quite happy with this product. This is a service developed based on Wazuh open source and MISP. This is also an interesting experience in my career. Perhaps by now, it has been developed with much more.
01/2020 - 04/2021
DevOps Lead Full-time (on-site)
In 2020, I joined a software development firm to work on a flagship project centered around real-time communication. My role involved developing and integrating online chat and video conferencing solutions—built on top of open-source frameworks like Rocket.Chat and Jitsi Meet—directly into the client's core service ecosystem.
09/2019 - 12/2019
DevOps Lead Full-time (on-site)
In 2019, I moved to a new company called BAP and started always with the position of DevOps Lead, a memorable milestone in my career path. Although I only worked for the company for 4 months, I really learned a lot of things, from team management to technical skills.
04/2016 - 08/2019
Linux System Administrator Full-time (on-site)
2016 I applied for a job as System Administrator at Sun Group, fortunately I also accumulated a lot of experience since I was in college and working as a news web system, so I got a job, but the salary is quite low.
06/2014 - 03/2015
Personal project - Automated news website
Self-employed
I spent more than 1 year trying to start myself with an automated news website using Joomla… and I failed, took a long time and didn’t have a penny in my pocket.
10/2014 - 12/2014
Secure Vietnam Limited Company
Technical Staff Full-time (on-site)
I worked here right after graduating, building networks for offices and working with physical devices such as switches, servers...
03/2013 - 10/2013
Technical Department - Da Nang Software Park
OpenStack Internship Part-time (on-site)
I and a classmate (Thanh Vu) participated in PoC of 20-server physical system on DSP with OpenStack technology, which was quite new at that time. We published some blogspot posts in 2013, luckily it is still accessible https://mhst13-06-openstack.blogspot.com

Karatedo
Previously, I used to practice Karate for about 5 years, when I was a high school student. I did it from 2007 – 2012. The best thing is that I got a 1st degree black belt. But this is also my regret, because of my school schedule and later going to work a lot, so I almost don’t practice it anymore.

Gym habits
Now, having a family and work is quite busy. I have switched to the gym and try to maintain it as a daily habit.
This is me before the Covid-19 epidemic took place. Sorry that I had my hair like that at that time, actually summer in Vietnam is very hot. 🥵️
I would like to share some moments from my career below and hope that it does not affect the privacy of any colleagues.
I also regret not keeping the moments of working at some old companies like Bitcoin.com, I also have not had the opportunity to meet colleagues in real life, most of them are in other countries.
I just want to share with you a little bit about who I am, who is the person behind this blog? Pretty cool if you guys can remember my name Daniel Pham.
But the most important thing is that I personally want to share with you a lot, and if you find my blog interesting and useful, do not hesitate to follow and share it.
